A New Years Day climb up to French Ridge from the Tallman Hotel. Spectacular but a little rough for the cross bike. Tried to get to the Crabtree Hot Springs but needed at least another hour for the out and back from the top of the Ridge. Probably better with a Mountain Bike from the trailhead. Still a good 40 miles from the hotel.
